Sparks "spark"

"North Carolina novelist Nicholas Sparks is "publishing's reigning king of sticky sentiment," according to Publishers Weekly contributor Jason Anthony. From his first solo effort, 1996's The Notebook, Sparks has crafted a novel a year--usually a romance--and his books have successively topped the bestseller charts. They have also been adapted as several successful motion pictures, including Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook."

"Nicholas Sparks's romance-heavy novels have spent weeks on the best-seller lists and have earned him a reputation as one of the few men to write successful love stories for a popular audience. His second foray, Message in a Bottle, became a 1999 motion picture starring Kevin Costner, while others have been optioned for the big screen as well. A film adaptation of Sparks's A Walk to Remember was released in 2002."

All of this and much more other awards and motion pictures have been awarded for Nicholas Sparks fenomenal and sentimental writting, and yet there is still much more to come!

Dear John

Nicholas Sparks grew up in a family of low income, he wrote his first novel while still in high school, tho it was never published. Dear John is a story about a young girl and a young man who meet while they are both in their summer vacations. Savana the main character of this novel spends his summer building houses for families who do not have any and cant afford one. John the young man on the other hand is just spending his vacation with his dad before he has to go back to the military, John has dificulties relating to his dad and he spends most of his time at the beach where he meets Savana.

John never intended to find any kind of relation ship while on break from the military, but there was just such a conection between him and savana that neithe one could help it. when analized more thoroughly, Bhavya Dabas says.. "inspite of the fact that some of the twist and turns in the story are rather predictable, the story comes across as a touching tale of love and human emotion. The author ensures that his readers relate to his characters and feel what they are feeling. He describes everything that the characters go through in just such a way."

A Blog to Remember

"Love is always patient and kind, it is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceded, it is never rude nor selfish, it does not take offense and it is not resentful"... this is the quote to which Landon Carter and Jamie Sulivan were joined together in marrage. "A walk to remember" i think is one of Nicholas Sparks most touching and sad story of all. "A walk to remember" main character Jamie Sulivan was inspired by Nichola's sister Danielle Sparks (1966-2000) who died at age 33.
I chose to write about Nicholas Sparks because all of his stories are very interesting and touch the hearts of millions. With this blog i hope to inspire all to experiense first hand the writing style of this author, and also give some biographical informaton and critique some of his most famous works like "The notebook", "Dear John" and his longest novel yet "The Last Song".
